Many Basotho have heard and accepted a form of the gospel that mixes African traditional religion & medicine and a works and prosperity doctrine with Christianity. They call themselves Christians and have been considered “hard soil” because of their “religiosity.” Few Basotho have an authentic relationship with Christ. Pray that God will change hearts resistant to His Word. Pray that God will reveal strategies that break through barriers and build bridges to the gospel. Pray for the Melvin's to be led by the Holy Spirit to recognize opportunities that minister effectively in the culture and language. Pray for boldness in witnessing that will overcome the opposition of evil forces and fear of failure. |
