The Basotho of the Lowlanda

Lesotho, the kingdom in the sky, is a small mountainous country completely surrounded by South Africa. The lowest elevation is about 5,000 feet and 80% of the 2.5 million Basotho of Lesotho live in the lowlands. The capital of Maseru is home for Tom, Cindi, Zachary, and Eli Melvin but their area of ministry spreads approximately 65 miles north and south of the city. The Basotho of the lowlands have heard about Jesus and would claim to be Christians, but most do not have a personal relationship with Christ.

Pray that the Lord will open the hearts of the Basotho so that they will desire and receive the truth of the gospel.

Pray for the ministry of the Melvin's as they seek the Lord’s wisdom and direction in starting a church planting movement among the Basotho of the lowlands.
