Pray for the Melvins … Titus 3:4-5 But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,

Dear Prayer Partners,

You are awesome. Thanks for your prayers and for keeping in touch with us. It means more than you know. We are still adjusting to life in Lesotho but are doing well. Language/culture study continues to consume most of our days. Sesotho is difficult but we are trying. It is fall in Lesotho, complete with leaf color and cooling nights. We never thought of having pumpkin pie for Easter until now.

Our ministry involvement remains limited due to language learning, but we did have the opportunity to experience Easter with one of the village churches. There were baptisms on Saturday and Tom was blessed to lead the Lord’s Supper on Sunday. We continue to meet with our “Backyard Kids” once a week and shared the Easter story using Resurrection Eggs.

The boys are fine and enjoyed a nice Easter break. The cat competition is now over and Zachary’s Feline’ won by a landslide with 7 rats, 1 bird, and a lizard. Sorry, Eli. Thanks to all of you who cast your votes. Don’t laugh! Animal control is serious business around here.

Thanks for your prayers as we enter a very busy time of training and traveling. We have our first annual training meeting April 13-17 in South Africa, Cindi goes to Kenya for the regional ladies’ retreat April 30 – May 7, and then all of us will be in Zambia from May 12 – June 11 for cultural immersion training. We look forward to letting you know how God uses these trainings and times of renewal to better equip us for reaching the
