Dear Faithful Prayer Partners,
We give thanks for a great week in the Lord
and a wonderful start to our "Prayer Walk" for the Basotho,
please see (
www.prayforthebasotho.org ) and many responses to the
daily vignettes asking for specific prayer. To those that
worked so hard on this…Scotty (
www.missionteaminc.com )
and Bradley Davis (
www.illuminatemedia.net ) we can only offer our praises
to God for your amazing gifts and willingness to share them
in the name of Christ. As we say in the upper corner of
lower Alabama: " You done good!" People are praying…people
will be saved. We are thankful to all those that love the
lost, whether the Basotho or Americans or whomever. Another
couple who have been so supportive of us here in the
mountains and the Basotho Team is C. and A. Their talent is
unbelievable and they are responsible for the hard work that
went into original Basotho videos that have lead so many of
you to pray with us. They do all the work from America on
the www.Basotho.org website
and we owe them an enormous thanks and hugs all around. C.
and A. have been at it so hard for so many years and we
just couldn’t do it without them….thanks folks! Isn’t it
amazing to see God work through all these partners and see
His gifts used in such a wonderful way.

This week the Basotho
Team was joined by Larry and Sally Pepper as they
arrived in Maseru to begin their work. Larry and Sally are
seasoned missionaries who have served over 12 years in
Sub‐Saharan Africa and we are blessed to count them as part
of our team. Larry will be working as the Director of
Lesotho Flying Doctors and Sally will be in Home and Church
ministries. We will have an unprecedented access to the
isolated locations in the mountains through Larry’s ministry.
Praise God for them both. Prayer Partners…these are really
great folks and a major addition to our team. They have
three grown children. Adam recently graduated from
Hope College and begins working with AmeriCorp in Washington
DC with National AIDS fund. Megan has completed two
years of university (Hope College) working towards a double
major in International Studies and French with an Art minor.
Kelly will begin university at Taylor University in
Uplands Indiana. Please add them and their children, to your
prayer list. |

The Flora’s are a
little over half way through Field Personnel Orientation in
Virginia and we eagerly await their arrival the end of this
month. Jim and Teresa, Gracie, Anna and Rebekah will be such
a powerful addition to the team and as are the Pepper’s, the
right people in the right place at the right time. Jim and
Teresa will join the Basotho team and will serve in the
northern range of the Maluti Mountains as church
planters. God has blessed Jim and Teresa with 6 amazing
children and 3 grandchildren. Their sons are grown and
married and living in Missouri. Serving with them in Mokhotlong
will be Elizabeth Grace, age 10 ( adopted from India),
Anna Mikail, age 9 (adopted from Haiti), and their baby
girl Rebekah Joy, age 4 (also adopted from Haiti.) |

Babs’
Personal Note: I just wanted to share with you something
someone said to me this past week. Recently, because of
some health problems, we decided to hire a gardener to help
out with the work around here. God was gracious to bring to
us a man who is a Christian and who was eager to work.
When we traveled to Johannesburg last week, it was John, our
new gardener with whom we left the keys to our home so he
could fix himself lunch every day and let the dogs out and
put tem in again at night. The morning we returned I had
fixed John something to eat and he began to share with me
that he had never sat a white person’ table, eaten with them
on their dishes, or shared their toilet. He was happy that
we trusted him and loved him and he thanked us. This made
me sad because I knew John had worked for some people in
South Africa during apartheid. During those days, he was not
allowed to enter his employer’s home, eat at his table, or
even eat off the same dishes as them and never allowed to
use their toilet. Those times left a shadow in the hearts
of the people. God made all men in His image and each of
us are precious to Him. I am so glad that a great and
powerful God placed value on each of us. We are not worthy
but He does it anyway. That is called love. Jesus said to
love others as we love ourselves. I pray that this week as
we all go about our busy lives, we will take time to show
God’s love to everyone we meet and they may see Christ in
us because of it. Have a great week.
Blessings. Babs.

We continue to ask for your prayers for:
* Babs’ family members: Brother John (cancer
concerns), Sister Johnnie (recovering from a previous accident),
and youngest brother Chris (also recovering from an accident).
* For Alan and continued health issues.
* The villages of Phakang and Ha Kanono
where new works have begun.
* Pray for the Basotho Prayer Walk
that many will join us in praying for the Basotho
* For The Bell Shoals Team from Brandon,
FL and Bloemfontain Mission Team from South Africa as they
prepare to come to Lesotho to work with us in the mountains.
* First Baptist
Church, Maryville, IL and the family of Pastor Fred
Winters, the congregation and the troubled young man who took
Rev. Winters life.
For those that do not have a personal relationship with
Jesus Christ, may their spirits be quickened and may they
recognize the need for the Savior.
The
dam is
full to
over flowing…like
our blessings!
* For those with physical needs that
hinder them from hearing the Gospel.
We want to give thanks for the rain that God
has sent this year…the crops are doing well and the rivers
and reservoir is full.
