(Isaiah 55:5) "Behold, you will call a nation you do not know, And a nation which knows you not will run to you, Because of the LORD your God, even the Holy One of Israel; For He has glorified you." (NAS95)

The leaves are falling and the night temperatures have dropped to freezing. Yes, it’s April, but because of the extended rainy season, winter has come early to Lesotho.

Praise: The continued rains have allowed the Basotho to plant cold weather gardens that help sustain them through the upcoming cold months. The quick seasonal changes have just about ended the hoeing season.

Praise: More Basotho will have time to attend the Wednesday village Bible studies.

Request: Pray for Basotho to make the choice to attend the studies. Lesotho schools have completed their first grading period of the new year and are ready to take on new programs.

Request: Pray the schools will be anxious for True Love Waits teaching and willing to start support groups. The existing Baptist churches are making plans to work with two Baptist Collegiate Ministries teams coming in May from Universities of Louisiana/Lafayette and Miami.

Request: Pray for traveling mercies and good health for the two teams. Zachary and Eli are in their last term of the school year and Zachary will take his SAT’s on May 2.

Request: Pray for us to make the right schooling decisions for next year and that Zachary will do well on his SAT’s. Members of the new church plant in Vukazensela/Motsekuoa are learning about prayer walking and will prayer walk new villages in preparation for the Ironbridge Baptist Church volunteer team coming in June.

Request: Pray for a pastor in Vukazensela/Motsekuoa and Tom as he has preached every Sunday since October 07.

Praise: New Basotho believers are learning to pray for the lostness of their own people.

Request: Pray for the team from Ironbridge Baptist Church as they seek God’s direction in ministry in Lowlands of Lesotho. We depend on your prayers as we seek to follow Christ in Lesotho.

Praise the Lord: For all those faithful who pray for the Melvins and the Basotho.

This Basotho boy is happy his family has a donkey to transport a heavy bag of corn meal.

You know you’re in Africa when… a baby pigeon  found on the roof of our house becomes a bag lunch.

Pumping water from the village tap is a daily task for most Basotho girls.
